Equine and Canine

Animals respond well to both Craniosacral treatment and Bach Flower Remedies.

As with humans, Craniosacral therapy can support both physical and emotional issues in animals. Through gentle touch we  slowly release accumulated strains, tensions and traumas held within the head and body. This restores balance in the body, allowing all systems to work in harmony and increasing overall vitality and well-being.

Craniosacral Therapy treatments are excellent at supporting Horses with:

  • Head shaking

  • Facial nerve paralysis

  • Pull back

  • Colic

  • Behavioural issues, stress and anxiety

  • Head injuries and trauma

  • Hock and stifle issues

  • Lumbar and sacroiliac problems

  • TMJ dysfunction

  • Blocked tear ducts

  • Kissing spine

  • Cushings disease (PPID)

  • Laminitis

  • Sweet Itch

I love dogs and horses. While horses are relatively new in my life, I grew up with dogs and have owned, adopted and taken care of various dogs while living in various places and countries. I have always been interested in canine behaviour and completed Jan Fennel's Dog Listening Course in 2009.

While training at the College of Craniosacral Therapy in London, my greatest teacher was my lurcher, Bow, who insisted on a very spacious approach to cranial treatment, otherwise he would get up and walk away.

I do voluntary craniosacral work for a local dog charity, Floris Friends, helping their paralysed dogs get back on track after surgery, and supporting in between treatments with Bach Flower Remedies.

On moving to the Kent country-side I found myself surrounded by horses and stables, and developed a desire to spend time with horses.  I trained in Equine Biodynamic Craniosacral therapy with Edwina Grey and Penel Meredith in 2021.

'Lindsey has been doing cranio on our most poorly disabled dogs with great success. One case in particular was Winnie, an abused girl with a broken spine who had reoccuring bladder infections that were not responding to antibiotics.

The specialists told us not to hold much hope of her surviving but since receiving regular cranio from Lindsey, along with some natural remedies recommended by her, she has since made a full recovery which we never thought possible.

We would highly recommend Lindsey for any case.'
